On a dedicated website, participants could choose from among 57 style and color elements, including cases, bracelets, straps, bezels, dials, markers and hands. Everyone logging on to the site could then vote on all contenders, with the winner in each of four regions (Japan, the Americas, Asia and Europe) to be available in a limited production run of 1,968, with the serial number engraved on each special 55th Anniversary Limited Edition screwdown see-through caseback.
